I understand that any information I provide to Ticket Busters Ltd. will be used only in the strictest confidence.

I understand that Ticket Busters Ltd. does not employ lawyers, and therefore cannot offer legal advice, only legal information to assist with client decision-making. I understand that, by retaining Ticket Busters Ltd., I am agreeing to have an agent or paralegal represent me as opposed to a lawyer.

I agree that, upon receiving any documentation from the court regarding my matter/s, including any notification/s regarding fine/s to be paid before my court date, I will immediately provide a copy of the document/s to Ticket Busters Ltd., either in person, via registered mail, or via email.

I authorize Ticket Busters Ltd. to communicate with me at any address, phone number, or email address that I provide. I agree that, if my address or telephone number changes during the course of my dealings with Ticket Busters Ltd., I will provide my new contact information to Ticket Busters Ltd. without delay so that my file can be updated to reflect current and correct information. I accept responsibility for any confidentiality breaches that result from communications sent to me at any number, email, or address that I provide. I understand that Ticket Busters Ltd. will not concede liability for missed court dates that result from my failure to provide Ticket Busters Ltd. with the above requested information.

I understand that Ticket Busters Ltd. will inform me if my presence is required at trial, and I agree to attend the trial and/or participate in pre-trial preparation as warranted. I understand that I have no obligation to take the stand or testify in my own defence should my matter/s proceed to trial.

I understand that services provided by Ticket Busters Ltd. may include the following: reviewing charging documents; requesting and reviewing disclosure; entering pleas; corresponding with clients and actioning client instructions; corresponding with Provincial Prosecutor to discuss client matter/s and/or negotiate a resolution; preparing a defence to present at trial; calling and/or cross-examining witnesses. I understand that Ticket Busters Ltd. has assessed my matter/s based on the materials and information that I have provided.

I agree to pay Ticket Busters' fees in exchange for representation. I agree that, if my matter/s turn/s out to be more serious and/or require/s more work than initially estimated, and/or if my failure to comply with Ticket Busters’ procedures and instructions necessitates more work on Ticket Busters’ part, I will incur additional fees at a rate of $150.00 per hour plus GST. In any such instance, I will be notified in writing by Ticket Busters Ltd. via email.

I hereby authorize Ticket Busters Ltd. and its designates to act as my agents in traffic court.

For each offence, I instruct Ticket Busters Ltd. to enter a plea on my behalf to a lesser charge reflecting the specific signed instructions below, in order of preference:

1) Withdraw all charges 2) Plead to lowest points/fines 3) Trial (additional fees apply)

A court may accept a plea of guilty only if it is satisfied that the Defendant: is making the plea voluntarily; understands that the plea is an admission of the essential elements of the offence; understands the nature and consequences of the plea; understands that the court is not bound by any Agreement made between the Defendant and Crown Prosecutor. I understand that following any conviction (if applicable), the Justice of the Peace/Provincial Court Judge will hear the Crown Prosecutor’s submissions regarding the appropriate penalty under the specific circumstances of my case. I understand that by pleading guilty, I am forfeiting my right to a trial, during which the Crown Prosecutor would have the burden of satisfying the court of my guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. I am entering an informed plea.

I understand that Ticket Busters Ltd. will endeavor to provide informed, high-quality service in dealing with my matter/s. I am aware that Ticket Busters Ltd. does not offer or provide any warranties related to the outcome/resolution of client matters.

I understand that Ticket Busters Ltd. may terminate this Agreement and discontinue providing services if: I do not pay the fees for services as required; I do not provide instructions; I do not respond to communications or follow instructions provided by Ticket Busters Ltd.; a conflict exists. As the client, I understand that I may terminate this Agreement at any time by notifying Ticket Busters Ltd. in writing. I understand that Ticket Busters does not offer partial or full refunds under any circumstances.

I confirm that I am the person named below, and that I have full authority to instruct Ticket Busters Ltd. with respect to my matter/s.

ALL PARTIES AGREE AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE VALID AND TREATED AS IF IT IS IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM, AND HEREBY AGREE TO RELY ON ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED SIGNED DOCUMENTS AS IF THEY BORE “WET INK” SIGNATURES.
